Situated in the northwest corner of Illinois, it is also conveniently located for residents of Iowa and Wisconsin who desire a time of personal or guided retreat any time of year.

We recommend at least a 4 to 5 night stay to enter adequately into the quiet beauty of this life and receive the maximum benefit from your retreat.The per night fee is $55 with a minimum of 2 nights stay.

For those looking for guidance on their life's journey, spiritual direction is available for an extra fee with our center's Director. Retreatants can also arrange for consultation with a spiritual director of their choosing.

 We offer 3 private hermitages. In order to enhance your experience of solitude, each hermitage has its own private setting and is designed to accommodate a single individual.

All three private hermitages are self-contained with:
  • Heating/air-conditioning
  • Desk/table with chair
  • Comfortable reading chair
  • Single bed, dresser, Bed linens and towels
  • Bathroom with shower

The Main House serves as the home of the retreat center's Director. Retreatants may use
the emergency telephone and laundry facility. There is also a library, where you can sit and enjoy a book from our extensive collection on topics of spirituality, personal growth, nature/wildlife, and ecology. These books, as well as CDs and cassettes, can be borrowed for use in your hermitage.

Each retreatant brings their own food, so there is a kitchen fully equipped with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, pots/pans, cooking and serving utensils, dishes and cups/glasses, and silverware.
